You may need to initialize other modules to the new PCM such as restraints module and immobilizer. Read the service information carefully.

 I believe if you do a Programmable module installation with a used PCM, the procedure starts with the original Pcm, then after the tablet pulls the required info out of the old PCM, you will be instructed to replace it with the used Ecu. after writing the VIN to it, I think after all that is done, then you  perform a parameter reset to get the modules talking to one another.There might be a 10 minute security wait to accesss PATS functions, you'll want to have all the customer's keys (minimum of 2 keys, that aren't clones of one another. Smart key vehicles and newer Coded PATS system vehicles may require IM508 or IM608 .

Install the PCM, Write the VIN to the PCM, Do parameter reset, cycle power, program
keys.
